At Mackinac Historic Park you will find two centuries of Michigan’s history and it is preserved in three settlements. Out of America’s 52 national parks, 38 are collectively out drawn here. With all the luxuries provided, it becomes impossible to resist a visit.

Cambridge State Historic Park used to be the resting point for travelers of the 19th century. People who used to travel by stagecoaches traveling between Chicago and Detroit used to stop here for some rest. Old furniture is still there and worth seeing.

In Fort Wilkins State Historic Park the remains of American Military of mid-1800s are exhibited. It also shows major ship-wrecks and lighthouses. It is open from mid-April to mid-November. To depict the life of the Copper Mining, Keweenaw National Historic Path was established in 1992. Jutting in to Lake Superior it tells about the place where Copper was mined commercially.

It also has a mine that is 7000 years old. Many of the processes exhibited here were fundamental in a successful of mining in all America. On Adventure Island you can play all the adventurous games, but most concern the water’s activities.

At Point Iroquois Light Station displays the life of a lighthouse. You can even climb the 65ft of brick tower of the lighthouse and take a fantastic view of the Superior Lake. Fair Lane-Zoological Institute is for hikers who love tracking on a scenic trail. For saving and celebrating wildlife, visit The Detroit Zoological Institute.

Algonac State Park has vast grasslands and fewer Oak trees, so it provides an excellent view of passing vessels. Open year round with modern cabins open only from April 3 to 29th November. Established on banks of Cass Lake, Dodge #4 State Park is an exceptional place for summer and winter water activities.

At Dinosaur Gardens Prehistoric Zoo you will find many concretely constructed Dinosaurs made excellently by Paul Domke during the year 1935 to 1965. An early 1900 family farm, Maybury State Park can be searched while riding, cross-country, bicycling or skiing. Demonstrations of Maple syruping, sheep shearing and honey extracting are pre-planned.

Adjacent to the fantastic boat lines serving Mackinac Island, Straits State Park offering stunning views of Mackinac Bridge and Straits of Mackinac. Camping facilities here are access able from 15 April to 15 November. Tahquamenon Falls State Park has a Michigan’s largest old-growth forest. The falls are the highest and widest in east of Mississippi. Camping facilities open from 15 April to 1 November.

At most of the following State Parks camping is available from April to November. Featuring a modern campground, Brimley State Park, offers excellent scenery if you look towards Canadian side. It also has a great swimming beach on Lake Superiors Whitefish Bay.

P.H.Hoeft State Park is located in spectacular shores of Lake Huron. It is a fantastic picnic spot offering all amenities. Wilderness State Park is for nature lovers. It has 26 miles Lake Michigan shoreline and some scenic trails. Ski-trails provide a thrilling experience in winter.

Located in the heart of Irish Hills, W. J. Hayes State Park is an interesting tourist destination. Established near the Michigan International Speedway, it offers many facilities. Located on an immense Mullett Lake, Aloha State Park is popular for a 193 lb Sturgeon taken there in 1974. It is located near the highway M-212.

Burt Lake State Park is a scenic sight under the Oak trees. Excellent for picnics as it is located near the Indian River. Craig Lake State Lake is situated in moose country and is for observing wildlife, camping and canoeing. It is still under construction and is located some miles northwest of Champion.

Situated near US-41, Baraga State Park is paradise for anglers as it is located on Keweenaw Bay (Lake Superior). Onaway State Park is located on Black Lake and has lots of campsites among virgin white pines. A festival, Black Lake Sturgeon Shivaree is held yearly in February, featuring ice fishing, snowmobiling racing and all other snow activities.
