Carbon Steel Montec CS: The Carbon Steel Montec CS is an excellent example of one-piece broadhead technology. It has a three blade system that will deliver you unbelievable striking strength. When this is combined with the pinpoint accuracy that you get with these broadheads they make for a perfect combination of the ability to get to the target and to do some damage once they get there. The Montec CS has super sharp blades that will leave an excellent wound channel. This in turn means that there will be a very good blood trail making the game easier to track once you have scored a hit.
The Montec CS uses a cut-on-impact tip that gives you excellent penetration. This can be important when it comes to the larger animals. The blades in this broadhead are made of durable stainless steel. Improvements in the metallurgy have also meant that they come sharper when you get them and they are easier to sharpen once they become dull. They come in different sizes, an 85 grain with a one inch cutting diameter, a 100 grain with a one and a half inch cutting diameter as well as a 125 grain with a cutting diameter of one and one eighth. They all come in a package of three broadheads.
Over the last year I have been using these broadheads and I must say with a lot of success. I really found that they fly just like the field points and we all know that accuracy is the most important thing when it comes to bow hunting. The first two shots with the Montec CS the shot went clean through the deer, and in both cases it left a good blood trail which really helps. I have a lot of practice shooting but I can’t say that I am the best tracker in the world. These make it easier on me. My son was out with me and he is just a teenager, shoots fifty pounds. He found that his penetration was still excellent, so you can see that you have all the entry power that you need from these broadheads.
